In order to promote the exchange of information and to facilitate networking among potential applicants to 2019 calls for projects in Horizon 2020 Work Programme Societal Challenge 5 “Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials”, the European Commission organized an event entitled “2018 Information days- call 2019” which took place on September 11th and 12th in Brussels. This website contains all presentations shown during the event, including the plenary session, the materials on the specific priorities of SC5 Work Programme and the relevant 2019 calls as well as materials on how to prepare a good proposal and how Horizon 2020 proposals are evaluated.
The website provides also the possibility to watch video recordings of the different sessions of both days.
Information Day and brokerage event on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020, Challenge “Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials”, will take place on 8 and 9 November 2017 in Brussels in the European Commission’s Charlemagne building, rue de la Loi 170.
The event targets potential applicants to the 2018-2020 calls for project proposals under the Horizon 2020 Challenge 5 “Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials”
Compulsory registration for the event will open in July on the website.
The event will be web-streamed (the link will be available about 48 hours before the event on this page).
Information day focused on Societal Challenge 5 – Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials – took place on 14 September 2016 in Brussels. In the frame of plenary session information on call background were provided as well as many useful recommendations regarding cross-cutting issues (international cooperation, standards, ethics, gender, evaluation criteria etc.). New approach regarding open research data was also presented.
Parallel sessions followed with presentations of individual topics (in the area of Circular economy, Climate services & low-carbon Europe, The Arctic dimension & Earth observation, Raw Materials, Nature-based solutions & Cultural heritage for sustainable growth).
Brokerage session organised by NCPs CaRE project served as a basis for networking activities for more than 200 participants.

European Commission is organising a Stakeholder info day on 8 December 2016, in Brussels. The aim of the event is twofold:
- To present the updated Work Programme of Horizon 2020, for the 2017 calls related to the EU’s research and innovation funding programme on “Nature-based solutions for urban regeneration and territorial resilience” and ” Heritage-led rural regeneration”.
- To facilitate networking, information exchange and partnerships of actors interested in addressing major societal challenges.
This event will be an occasion for different stakeholders involved in green and blue infrastructures and Heritage-led regeneration (mayors, planners etc.) with advanced plans and projects, the private sector (in the area of construction, landscape and building architecture, water management, insurance, etc.), civil society organisations, and research organisations to meet, discuss and interact with the coordinators of the selected large-scale demonstration projects, including those on cities as living-labs for nature and cultural heritage-based solutions. Later in September, there will be the opportunity to register online to the event, further information regarding the draft programme, list of participants and other relevant material to the event.
The registration for the next H2020 Infoday & Brokerage Event for the Societal Challenge 5, Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials is now open. The European Commission is inviting representatives of the research community, business, industry and public authorities to join the event on Wednesday, 14 September 2016 in Brussels.

Between 27 and 29 June 2016, the Research Executive Agency (REA) is co-organising an Info Week in Brussels for the 2017 calls for proposals of the Societal Challenge 2 (SC2) on ‘Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture and Forestry, Marine and Maritime and Inland Water Research and the Bioeconomy’. This Info Week combines a dissemination event for the results of projects funded under SC2 with an Info Day and a brokerage event for the 2017 calls for proposals. In addition, a dedicated Coordinators Day is being organised for projects funded under the 2014 and 2015 calls.
The dissemination event, on 27 June, will give visibility to results of projects funded through FP7 and Horizon 2020 under the umbrella of SC2. Featured projects will be linked to research priorities identified for the 2017 Work Programme and their outcomes will be brought to the attention of all parties interested in past and future calls related to SC2.
