EKLIPSE/EPBRS/BiodivERsA joint foresight workshop  “Social Innovation and Nature-based solutions: What knowledge will be needed to face future societal challenges and emerging issues

The workshop will be held in Brussels on the 6th (starting with lunch) of December until the 7th of December (1PM CET)

The aim of this participatory workshop will be to explore how nature-based solutions (NBS) can be a response to, or a catalyst for, social innovation to address emerging issues in relation to:

  • human well-being and health,
  • governance strategies,
  • assessment of multiple benefits (environmental, social and economic),
  • mainstreaming NBS in land planning and management
  • restoration
  • NBS and digital new technologies

This social innovation perspective will promote transdisciplinary thinking and participants will be free to focus on some specific habitats (e.g. urban areas, coastal and marine areas, agricultural areas, etc.) based on their expertise.
