From finding the right management framework for one’s activity to the question of how to develop a credible strategy focused on the management and exploitation of the research results, this webinar addresses different processes and operational methodologies that define professional and systematic IP management. After the training, the proposers should, as far as possible, be able to (among other things):

  • Develop the business landscape to inform the proposed project’s strategy
  • Conformance to the expected impacts as listed in the Call for proposals
  • Access and use information sources (e.g. espacenet, IPR Helpdesk, etc.)
  • Identify likely IP (research results) which would be generated
  • Present a prior art search (as well as technical SOTA)
  • Have an agreed strategy with partner institution’s TTO’s or IP Managers about management of project results and cost/revenue sharing
  • Analyse information to identify key impact hot spots/exploitation targets
  • Develop a strategic plan for the project – using the information obtained
